Geomagnetic Activity Continues: G3-Strong storms possible
published: Friday, August 28, 2015 17:49 UTC

Enhanced levels of geomagnetic storming continue as lingering effects from a previous coronal mass ejection (CME) further agitated the Earth's magnetosphere.  As a result, a G3 (Strong) Geomagnetic Storm Warning has been issued, valid through 0300 (EDT) on 28 Aug (28/0700 UTC).  Aurora watchers can check out our Ovation Aurora Forecast model, located here, to see the locations that would have the best chance to view the Northern (Southern) lights.  Stay tuned here for future updates.
