G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic storms likely again from 14-16 Oct 2015

G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic storms likely again from 14-16 Oct 2015
published: Friday, October 16, 2015 22:45 UTC

As the large, positive polarity coronal hole in the Sun's northern hemisphere continues to progress to the solar west (to the right), the solar environment will continue to be enhanced with solar wind speeds remaining elevated over the next few days. As a result, forecasters are expecting an increase in geomagnetic storming that could occur during that time. As a result, a G1-Minor storm watch has been issued for the 14th through the 16th of October. Forecasters will monitor the solar wind environment and issue warnings and alerts as appropriate.

Stay tuned here for updates.
