G3 (Strong) Geomagnetic Storm Observed on 01 Dec
G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storm conditions were observed during the 01/0900-1200 UTC synoptic period. The increase in geomagnetic activity was primarily caused by a coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with an M9.9 (R2-Moderate) flare at 28/1950 UTC which joined several other lesser CMEs that were already inbound towards Earth. The near-Earth space environment is expected to continue under these enhanced conditions into 02 Dec.
G1-G2 (Minor-Moderate) geomagnetic storms are expected into 02 Dec.
